My training in China was something I will never forget. I loved that we did lots of different kung fu styles and I particularly enjoyed learning tai chi basics because i didn't have any experience in it before I went to China. The shifus were all very friendly and they were very accommodating to my interests, if I wanted to try something else, they easily rescheduled my training. The training was hard and I pushed myself every day and when I left, I felt like I had accomplished a lot. Another aspect of the training which I enjoyed was the chance to learn Chinese and the Buddhist studies. This trip was deepened my fascination of Chinese culture and kung fu. |

This is one of the best training experiences I've had. I found it to be very different compared to training in England. We were training between six to eight hours a day in the very hot and humid conditions. But it was worth facing the heat because you could see your improvement even after a few days. The format of our training was different every day, one day we'd be training indoors and then the next day we'd be outside training in the mountains. I also got on well with our teachers and we were able to exchange ideas about techniques and different styles; they were very keen to help us. Ultimately, it was hard but very enjoyable and I am looking forward to returning for some more traditional training. |

The training was tough, we did lots of mountain running, as well as learning a new Shaolin form and a Tai Chi form. The mountain running was difficult since the mountain was steep and it was hot and humid, it definitely helped improve my stamina. The forms were difficult, it would take a lot of practice to get good at them. I had a great time and would definitely recommend the trip to anyone who would like a boost to their training somewhere really different. |

With trips like this, you really have to throw yourself into the experience. Everything was amazing from the teachers to the food to the sights, it was all fantastic. The training was by far the best bit for me, I loved learning the new forms and pushing myself more than i usually do. The school was really welcoming and everyone there was really supportive and friendly, but pretty much everyone that you met in China was really interesting and friendly. Trip of a life time, I really recommend it. |

The training was very challenging but I enjoyed every second of it. In the second week, I saw many amazing things. We managed to see most of the famous landmarks such as the Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors, Shaolin Temple and many more. However, my favourite destination had to be the Forbidden City. The reason for this is because there was so much to see and do within the City walls that I found very educational and interesting. My China Trip 2011 was an amazing experience and it is a memory I shall carry for the rest of my life. I would recommend it to anyone. |

The training was very hard, challenging and diversified. We did a lot of running, learned a Kung Fu form and parts of a Tai Chi form. We’ve seen Kung Fu skills in action in a show performed by Kung Fu students and shifus of the school, we stayed in. We were also able to study some Chinese. The teachers/shifus worked with foreign students before and were very helpful and easy to approach for any problem. All in all, I really enjoyed these two and a half weeks in China, got to know many interesting, friendly and likeminded people and friends and was able to explore a different culture, which still hasn’t lost any of its fascination. I would love to do it again and recommend a visit with UK Shaolin Temple to everyone. Many thanks to everyone, who made this a trip a once in a lifetime experience and for everyone, who is interested to go, grab the chance and don’t miss out on a fabulous trip. |

The trip could only be described as an adventure. I spent a week experiencing Kung Fu. It was a challenge with early 5am starts and training a total of four session of training every day. By the end of my training, my fitness was high and I was feeling awesome. I explored stunning scenery including the Terracotta Warriors and Great Wall of China. To climb those steps higher and higher was phenomenal, I will never forget it. But the highlight of this trip was visiting the Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng City, to see where our own Master did his training as a monk. Please take this opportunity to explore and experience China, I will be returning again soon. |
